Review of Wonder Woman (2017) by Khui Lo M — 30 Jun 2017

Undeniably the best DCEU film and above average range compared to the entire superhero genre.

Jenkins carried the film with great storytelling of a loveable character and origin story - there's not much you can dislike about the story and character. The Amazonian warriors action sequence were very refreshing.

I felt Gadot displayed a limited range of emotional depth and breadth of Dianna. She constantly looked like a deer in headlights especially during the beginning of the third act. I genuinely believe she was selected for her relatable personal backstory over acting or good kinetic energy.

I came out feeling better than other DCEU filmed but I did not have an immediate urge to see justice league. Comparatively I was immediately looking forward to seeing the next installmemt of movies with GOTG vol.2, Doctor Strange, and Avengers.
