Superman/Doomsday and New Frontier were hard acts to follow but DC's latest direct to video animated film, Wonder Woman, is more than up to the challenge. It's no surprise that this is co-written by Gail Simone, one of the best writers Wonder Woman has ever had.
She understands the character, takes her and her mythology seriously, and, hell, makes it completely kick ass. Lots of action, exciting (and fairly brutal) fights and a sense of awe and well, wonder, that completely energises the character.
Great fun, and DC could easily make a second Wonder Woman feature on the strength of this.
