Review of Wonder Woman (2009) by Michael C — 15 Mar 2009
So far the DC Animated Features that I have seen have been very impressive, and this one follows that trend by being pretty terrific as well. The film captures the ultra-feminist mentality of the modern Wonder Woman, but exalts the merits of that mentality as well as condemn the narrow-mindedness where it is fit.
As the male interest in the movie, Nathan Fillion of "Serenity" fame is a great fit, and he delivers much of the comic relief in the film brilliantly. And Alfred Molina has overdone himself by being pretty engaging in a live-action Marvel film and in this, a DC animated film; kudos to you Mr.
Molina. Wonder Woman is super-cool in the action sequences, utilizing her lasso in a more stylistic fashion than many action stars use a sword or gun, and seeing her in that iconic costume is still a fanboy delight.
