Review of Wonder Woman (2009) by Greg — 07 Aug 2009
This movie begins in ancient Greece and a mass battle is taking place against the Amazon Women by Ares God of War and his army of Men and mythical creatures such as minotaurs and cyclops.
After the Queen of the Amazons Hippolyta defeats Ares in battle his life is spared at the bidding of Zeus who strips him of his god powers and is imprisoned for thousands of years and also Hera Queen of the Gods gives the Amazons immortality so that they can guard the disgraced god.
After a US air force pilot is shot down over the Amazons secret island he is quickly captured and taken to the Queen for judgment as no man has set foot on the island in thousands of years. After a brief discussion it is decided to send the pilot who is Colonel Steve Trevor back to his homeland. But during his time there Ares escapes and begins his dominion of mans world once more which would mean the deaths of billions if left unchecked. So it is decided to send the Queens only daughter Diana to track Ares down and bring him back before he unleashes hell..
As animated movies go this one was really good and it was brutal in parts so definitely not for the kids so if your a fan of the Wonder Woman story this is a must..
