Review of Wonder Woman (2009) by Ryan V — 11 May 2012
Wonder Woman (Keri Russell) is the princess of an island of Amazonian warrior women. Their nation has been hidden from the rest of the world, but this changes when Cpt. Steve Trevor (Nathan Fillion) accidentally crashes his jet on their territory.
The ladies don't know what to do with this interloper, but Wonder Woman is ultimately forced to partner with him when the war god Ares (Alfred Molina) escapes his prison and begins ravaging the world.
The plot of this film, which is wonderfully conveyed by its cast, contains humor, heart, and action. Lauren Montgomery brings concise direction that convinces me that she's quickly becoming the best asset of these direct-to-DVD superhero movies.
