Review of Wonder Woman 1984 (2020) by Mrandom — 25 Dec 2020
1 point for the beauty of Gal Gadot.
A broken teenage girl fairy tale riddled with poor logic and woke messages.
- It’s an action movie, yet the movie had minimal actions. One of the reasons is that Kristen Wig, the actor of Cheetah, is not an action film actor.
- The movie could happen in any year. It made zero use of the year 1984.
- Diana’s mother didn’t want Diana to learn to fight in the first movie, yet she allows Diana to compete in a fighting/sports competition in this one.
- Diana had no problem with her teammates using guns in the first movie, yet she says “I hate guns” in this one. Pure propaganda.
- The antagonist wanted to be number one in the world. He wanted to rule the world, not to destroy the world. Yet the movie made him destroy the world.
- Cheetah in this movie is set to be as strong as Wonder Woman. Yet she can be electrocuted, but Diana can’t. They were both in the water, connected by the same cable.
- Poor choice of actress of Cheetah. Her wish was to be as smart, strong and sexy as Diana. Kristen Wig is 47 and Gal Gadot is 35. Wig never displayed the same level of smartness, strength and sexiness as Gadot in this movie.
- The movie had a white guy attacking Kristen Wig’s Barbara character like any person will ever want to rape a uncharming person like Barbara.
- In the end people just act like the world wasn’t almost destroyed by almost everyone’s wish, and just lived with it.
- It was 1984, yet the movie had the actors saying Happy Holidays instead of Merry Christmas in the end.
- Regardless of all the BS, the movie managed to last for 150 minutes.
Strip all the wokeness and maybe the movie can have more time to tell the story better.
