Review of Wonder Boys (2000) by Georges F — 03 Oct 2007
All the events of this film are centered around a single subject: making choices. This simple subject is a real dilemma for any wonder boy: fearing a failure to accomplish another equally brilliant achievement, he becomes afraid of making tough choices. This, of course, leads to a shattered life.
The two wonder boys of the movie are brilliantly portrayed by Michael Douglas and Robert Downey Jr. Tobey Maguire has confirmed himself to be one of young talents of the new century.
This film is not for the average moviegoer. Itâ??s target is rather a highly cinematographically-educated audience, such as the one you might encounter in a movie club.
