It's difficult to imagine a frame of mind that could diminish anyone's enjoyment of this masterpiece. The perfect blend of tiny tragedies underscored by good humor that allows just enough heartache to seep through to make it believable.
This is the rare movie that can be applauded for its uncanny realism yet embraced for the sheer likability of its characters. Wonder Boys is wonderful.
