Review of Wonder Boys (2000) by Dan W — 19 Jun 2008
In the midst of a unique midlife crisis, a college professor most cope with the affair he's having with his boss' wife, as well as a troubled, but talented student and his desperate editor who wants his long-delayed and unfinished second novel.
Doesn't sound to funny does it? Thankfully the basic storyline though important to the overall movie, isn't what drives it, the three main characters, Grady (Michael Douglas), James Leer (Tobey Maguire) & Terry Crabtree (Robert Downey Jr.) are what really make this movie tick, itâ??s worth seeing for these 3 simply brilliant performances alone, & also if you've never seen Katie Holmes actully act before you may get a surprise.
It's not for everyone but if you like character based, dark comedies then you may well love it.
