I went into this movie assuming it would be a tear jerker. And it was. I probably had tears running down my face about 10 times in the movie. It was like they were shooting arrows at your heart. Zing. Zing.

And there were some of those times that felt "cheap" (like when the cat jumps out behind you in a horror movie just to scare you).

But overall, the movie is very touching in its humanity. While there are definitely some tears of sadness. There are also tears of happiness. And tears of people connecting with one another in deeply personal ways.

With all of that said, I went back and forth on the rating. Typically I reserve a 4 for something I think should be Best Picture nominated. And I don't think this falls into that category. This felt a bit more like an after school special than a *deep* movie. But I wound up giving it a 4 despite that because of its ability to pull at your heart strings and move you.
