It's really a Wonder-ful (sorry, couldn't resist) little film that reminds everyone, old and young alike, that being kind is really the key to humanity, which is all the more important in this day and age.
A note-perfect cast delivers this lovely lesson while never descending into unearned melodrama and saccharine sweetness.
