Review of Wonder (2017) by Brandon O — 02 Mar 2018
Wonder is a emotional, funny, heartfelt, inspiring, and extremely touching film. This movie has a great cast and great performances especially Jacob Tremblay as Auggie Pullman. The story is very relatable and sad, the audience can quickly relate to Auggie and what he's going through in school, whether it's bullies, test, and making friends.
There are sometimes where the focus comes off of Auggie and focuses on other people in Auggie's life, his sister, his best friend, and his sister's best friend, and it shows that he's not the only one having a hard life, which was great, because it fleshes out the character and explains why they're doing this, why they're at this school, and why they behave the way they do.
My only issue was I wanted to see more characters fleshed out, like the kid bullying him, his sister's boyfriend, and some of his other friends. Wonder is a great film for the entire family, it heart-felt, emotional, entertaining, inspiring, and Wonderful.
