Review of Women in Love (1969) by Catherine N — 11 Sep 2010
"I love you." "Do you love me?" "Tell me you love me." "But do you love only me." "Are we meant to only love one person?" "I love you but I can't love only you." "You don't love me.".
D. H. Lawrence's tale of two sisters looking for love and adventure amidst the upper crust bohemian social circle of two exceedingly close friends has director Ken Russel pushing and pulling the marvelous Glenda Jackson, Jennie Linden, Alan Bates and Oliver Reedin all sorts of hystrionic directions. Fun, fun if you have the patience.
