Review of Woman in the Dunes (1964) by Bert T — 14 Nov 2007
Ok, it's long, and the 2h30' director's cut even more so. Still, Kobo Abe's book caught in spirit (difficult, with such a philosophical and intellectual book). Best black-and-white photography ever.
Kyoko Kishida is fantastic as the siren of the dunes. What a metaphor of life - never was there any better.
