Review of Woman in the Dunes (1964) by Chelsea T — 12 Feb 2008
Incredibly beautiful film, the score, cinematography, and editing are amazing. It's an odd story about a man that is traveling along a desert, seeks shelter for the night, and sort of becomes a prisoner in a house in the sand with the woman who lives there.
I love all of the close up of the bodies and how they look like the horizons of the dunes. And man, there are some very beautiful, erotic scenes. And the scene at night when the villagers are watching, that was extremely well done.
Great film.
