Review of Woman in the Dunes (1964) by Juan C — 13 May 2008
A truly claustrophobic film with several hypnotic and beautiful images. It presents a philosophical question about the way we live life by borrowing from the Greek mythology of Sisyphus and extrapolating its message for us to evaluate the routine of our lives.
This film is a mesmerizing experience.
