Some movies stay with you for a while; themes, plotlines, performances, images. Some do all this and still reach deeper and you find yourself haunted by it somehow. I saw this over a month ago and it's still with me.
I want to know more about them - both the entymologist and the woman in the dunes. The symbolic and philosophical aspects are all very interesting and give plenty of food for thought. But I was also very caught up in the characters.
They're real for me. They live in my imagination now.
