The characters' motivations and personalities aren't explored enough, and many plot holes distract, but Woman in Gold is saved by charismatic lead performances (including a really surprising one from Ryan Reynolds) and an interesting true story which, while isn't explored to its potential on screen, will make you go to Google to find out more.
Overall, a solid, if unremarkable biopic, with moments of huge potential that aren't quite reached.
