Review of Woman in Gold (2015) by Osgood S — 30 Jul 2015
A better film then indicated by the critic's ratings. Excellent acting is marred by a script that strays too far from the story's actual true events which would have been a fascinating film if it were produced more as a docudrama with the real hero of the story, played by Ryan Reynolds, as the center of the drama.
In reality , it was Randy Schoenberg (played by Reynolds) who was the center of the story but I guess that the appeal of attracting Helen Mirren to the cast was too much for the producers to put her in a secondary acting role.
