Review of Woman in Gold (2015) by Late R — 17 Aug 2017

A powerful story full of potential that is somewhat ruined by a rather dull delivery, not to mention quite a few overly sappy scenes that, instead of inspiring heartfelt emotions, only make for cringe-worthy viewing.

Having said that, I was unaware of the history behind the 'Woman in Gold' painting, so I was glad to have it brought to my attention. If anything got to me whilst watching this, it's that it serves as a stark reminder of the suffering that the Nazis caused -- I just wish the story had been given a better treatment.
