Review of Wolfen (1981) by Colm M — 08 Oct 2010
An acid head would have a hay day w/ this there's so much solarization. They'd feel like they were running w/ the wolves. I originally intended to watch Wolfen as a kid when they were playing it on ABC but before it stared they put up their 'edit for content' & I knew all the good stuff would be cut.
That attacks in this are pretty good; pretty bloody & a bit startling but most of them happen @ the beginning & @ 2 hours in length there's a lot of fat that could have been trimmed. There's a scene in this that it's only payoff is a cat jump scare.
A cheap old trick & a waste of time. The best parts are Gregory Hines & these beautiful wolfs..or Gregory Hines being attacked by wolfs.
