Review of Wolf Creek (2005) by Aaron M — 11 Jan 2010
First off, I don't enjoy torture porn, so I knew I wasn't going to like this movie. With all this talk about going against conventional standards we forgot to mention one thing- the utter stupidity of the characters.
They are just as dumb as other characters in horror flicks. One girl shot the bad guy with a fucking high powered rifle, which of course only rendered him unconscious, and instead of smashing his face in with the butt of the gun she decides to hit him twice in the back.
Then after escaping in a truck, she runs it off a cliff to fool her captor into thinking she died, then has the genius idea to go back to his place to steal another car. Brilliance, sheer brilliance. Of course this doesn't work out to well but hey, it sounded like a good idea at the time right?
