Review of Wolf Creek (2005) by Tony C — 12 May 2014
I just finished watching 'Wolf Creek' on IFC. I have to say a big horror fan I was disappointed... I had heard this one 'broke all the rules,' and pushed the envelope in a unique way. Really it did not offer anything above movies like Turistas or Hostel (these are also mediocre).
I did not get into the characters, in fact, I bet this would have been much better as a campy grindhouse movie. Throw a film grain effect on it and give crocodile Dundee some more hokey lines! For a real horror movie like this just watch the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
