Review of Wolf Creek (2005) by Ryan M — 04 Dec 2010
Seems to be similar in tone to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre - tense, and you remember it for being gruesome despite it not actually showing much gore at all. The guy who plays the killer is superb in this role, and the atmospheric views of Australia almost bring a tear to my eye remembering my time there (I hitchhiked through the actual Wolfe Creek, I should mention) and a chill down my spine.
Didn't really think about it at the time there, but Australia looks like one big wasteland - if you're prepared to drag a body as far away from civilisation as possible, they'd never be found.
Creepy.
