Review of Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie (2009) by Adam S — 31 Dec 2009

Wizards Of Waverly Place is my favorite Disney Channel TV Show. The movie was so good and I really loved it. Just like they are in the TV Show all the cast were really funny and did really good jobs of pulling the film off and making it just as funny as the TV Show is. When Jerry and Theresa forgot that they knew each other it was hilarious with Jerry flirting with other women and Theresa acting all embarassed around him at first, like a silly little teenager. My favorite part was the end with Alex and Justin battling for their wizard powers. I really wanted Alex to win but when she didn't know what spell to use to help her parents remember who they were again it was obvious that Justin should have won instead. I'm glad she finally got The Stone of Dreams back and was able to wish everything back to the way it was again so their parents remembered and Alex, Justin and Max still had their wizard powers. When it comes to the TV Show i'm undecided who I want to end up as a full wizard when the show ends for good. I'd like it to be Alex since she's my favorite but I think that Justin would be more responsible. I don't want Max to get them as he's too immature and I don't see it being Max anyway, it will be either Alex or Justin. I guess we'll see!!! I would love for there to be a sequel so i'm keeping my fingers crossed!!!

The best lines (in no particular order):

Justin: "Magic was used to protect the bag, reverse the spell, release the... hag.".

Alex: "Okay. Fine. I went through your stupid bag... hag?".

Jerry: "A full wizard there can be but one. All power to a daughter or son. To an ancient battle transport us three, where one will emerge in VICTORY.".

Alex: "Um, right, okay, um, but I, I don't know what to do. Um, Justin, help me, what spell do I use?".

Justin: "Why would I help you?".

Alex: "...because you're my brother. Look, I'm, I'm sorry you didn't...".

Justin: "I'm your brother?".

Alex: "No, no, no Justin, please, please, you can't leave me here, please remember!" (she starts crying).

Alex: "I'm Alex, I'm your little sister! I taunt you and I tease you and I make your life miserable, but you love me anyway." (Justin stares at her strangely).

Alex: "You're everything that I ever wanted to be. I'm jealous of how, how smart you are and how kind and how nice. Please don't leave me here!".

Justin: "I'll never leave you. I don't know who you are, but... I believe you.".

[They hug].

Justin: [shouts] "Hey Alex!".

Alex: [shouts back, overjoyed, and runs off] "JUSTIN! MAX!".

Theresa: "You MISS your BROTHERS?".

My Actor/Actress review:

Selena Gomez - my favorite Disney actress, really talented and so funny. Alex is the best character!

David Henrie - love him as Justin! So so cute, and also a great actor.

Jake T. Austin - always so funny as Max and always makes me laugh.

Jennifer Stone - ya gotta love Harper, with her wacky-crazy dress sense.

David DeLuise - he#s just as funny as the younger stars.

Maria Canals Barrera - as Theresa she has her fair share of funny moments but she's more funny in the TV Show.
