Review of Witness for the Prosecution (1957) by Wendy B — 18 Feb 2009
I first watched this when I was little and the only things I liked were the powder wigs the judge and attorneys wore (this was in Great Britain) and how beautiful Marlene Dietrich was. Earlier tonight I was surfing through TCM and happened upon this, and to watch it as an adult was an eye-opener.
Charles Laughton was first-class! And I'm surprised that Billy Wilder didn't receive an Oscar for his wonderful directing!
