Review of Witness for the Prosecution (1957) by Jennifer M — 10 Sep 2011
I hate most of today's average movie goer, who wouldn't take the time to watch a masterpiece like this and give five stars to a Jay and Silent Bob-esqe movie. Watching this movie came as a complete chance by unfortunate circumstances.
It was a reminiscent feeling, "wanting to just watch something in black and white while everyone else slept". I thought I would just drift off to sleep... 'this was late 90s btw', but instead was enthralled with this movie and it's characters.
I couldn't stop watching. When it was done, I was floored and wanted to cheer or start immediately talking about it but... couldn't. (there was no internet in our area at the night, and social networking then was almost nonexistent).
So I hate to fall asleep with this movie in my head. Never knowing the storyline, or being spoiled in anyway by anyone else or any other form of information. If you call yourself a "true quality movie buff", and haven't watched this.
You must, it's one of the best movies of all time IMO.
