Review of Witness for the Prosecution (1957) by Stefanos T — 29 Dec 2011
If you watch this film without any context whatsoever, you will be very surprised how good it is. I don't wish to reveal anything that might be indicative of the plot in the slightest, however, expect to hear brilliant dialogue, remarkable and deceiving performances by Laughton, Dietrich, and Power.
There are a few quick and witty lines of dialogue to help ease the atmosphere, but the exploding drama in the end is something really rare in cinema.
