Review of Witness (1985) by Alex K — 04 Oct 2007
A typical thriller script hailed as genius for including a college-level metaphor about the use of force and violence in modern society. The acting is exactly on the par line, the action is used sparingly (although the grain silo was probably one of the most fulfilling move moments I've seen in a long time).
Predictable plot twists and a luke-warm romance keep this movie down, while well handled exposition and interesting settings try to pull it up. In the end, it's a fine thriller, but it never exceeds decent.
