Review of Witness (1985) by Kristin W — 04 Apr 2008
This was on TV the other week and I told my sister "I should own this"... and then last week when we were out at the store, this little gem was in the $5 bin and I knew it was a sign :) I am a huge fan of Peter Weir's films and Harrison Ford's work (the 80s was a good decade for him, what with the Indiana Jones movies, this, Empire, Jedi and Working Girl.
..). There is so much good going for this film - the acting, the directing, the scenery, the script, etc... The scene in the barn is surely memorable (and one of my favorite scenes in the film), but the barn raising sequence says a lot without anyone really saying much - I like how a lot of the interactions between Book and Rachel are just shared looks between the characters.
