Review of Witness (1985) by Andrew W — 19 Dec 2012
Although Witness provides a unique setting and score, it greatly lacked a solid plot and portrayal of characters. The acting was mediocre, even on Harrison Ford's part.
It was enjoyable how the movie did show his assimilation into the Amish society, but that overtook the main plot quickly. It went from a tense movie to a long, dreary, pathetic love story for about an hour and a half. Overall, the plot required only about 15-20 minutes worth of actual film. They just decided to pass the time by raising a barn and milking a cow at 4:30 in the morning.
