Review of Without Limits (1998) by Rui M — 08 Sep 2008
Great film without second doubts. And I feel really happy I had a chance to see a film as inspiring as this one. I fully recommend it to everyone.
I can't even begin to explain how great Billy Crudup was. His best role to date, in my opinion. He was an unstoppable whirlwind, even great at the most unimportant gestures (e.g., the way he pushed his hair off his face) Donald Sutherland was amazing as well, his character was immediately sympathetic.
And we're dealing with a biographical film, a film about Steve Prefontaine who was both a hero and a great athlete, who could have had the greatest career, but instead he had a tragic and unfortunate ending.
