Review of Without a Paddle (2004) by Brian M — 15 Jul 2010
I saw without a Paddle at a pool party. I assume since they were having a water themed party, they needed a water themed movie, and, even though it was kind of lame at points, some of it was actually pretty decent.
I sort of enjoyed the adventure these friends were having up until the girls in the tree. Hot babe tree huggers, who didn't really seem to be all there, and the whole idea of these girls in a forest full of trees was kind of far fetched. The gigantic "Farm." was also far fetched, along with the bumbling thugs. But, at least they were somewhat funny at points.
I think the best parts of the movie involved the bear, and, how these friends actually end up finding what they were looking for, and Burt Reynolds certainly had a brief but interesting part in the movie. But, you wouldn't know it was him without looking very closely.
Overall, it's not a great movie, but, it's worth watching.
