Review of Withnail & I (1987) by Keith T — 08 Oct 2008
I watched this on Film 4 the other night. It is a brilliantly observed and very funny black comedy with a great 60s soundtrack. Superb performances from Richard E Grant and Paul McGann.
Quite why I avoided such an excellent film for 22 years is a mystery, but I am indebted to Russell Brand and Matt Morgan for going on and on and on about how good it is for finally leading me to it!
