Review of With a Song in My Heart (1952) by Private U — 31 Dec 2007
Filled with lots of old fashioned schmaltz and gee-wiz flag-wavin hoak - but as those types of films go - this did pull at the old hoaky heartstrings. I was not all that impressed with the vocals (though Hayward was dubbed in this film unlike when she did her own vocals in the better film I'll Cry Tomorrow), BUT the old songs were still fun to listen to & the wardrobe was fun to look at! Also a very very young & handsome Robert Wagner in two short scenes was an added enjoyment.
