Emma thompson is fucking phenomenal as a hardass no-bullshit lit prof (don't mess, cut class, nor hand in some shit piece of prose or she'll humiliate you hardcore and your hershey kiss-sized brain).
she'll also break down, deteriorate from cancer, and pierce your soul with her dry perfect wit (yes), poise, pacing, delivery of each line. I loved the monologues spoken directly to the camera, slightly odd, maybe more interesting this way than from a stage.
