Review of Wit (2001) by Sarah G — 01 May 2009
A great film about the detioration of the human body when going through the treacherous treatments for cancer. My favourite part of the movie is how since she is a English Professor and she is reciting poems by John Donne.
Everything is related to language, whether it be the lack of bedside manor her doctors give her or the fear of death itself. This is one of the most in depth films regarding cancer and it's treatment.
Emma Thompson, although her character is a tough professor, she softens up and realizes the way she was and how it affected her character. She deserves very special recognition for her role in this film.
