Review of Wish I Was Here (2014) by Reini U — 18 Jul 2014
A film that explores the life of a failed actor as he struggles with his dad's degrading health. The film is very similar to Braff's earlier film Garden State in terms of father-son relationship and the character that Braff plays.
Like Garden State, the film is a constant jump from comedy to drama, but is a little less messy in its transitions. The acting is phenomenal across the board. The comedy parts of the film are clearly Braff's strong points, as they are really quirky and funny.
