Review of Wish I Was Here (2014) by Scott A — 24 Jul 2014
Jonny's a Zach Braff fan so off we went. Equally funny and touching this film's few flaws are far outweighed by the journey taken. Don't be dissuaded by the critic reviews. It moves well, is engaging throughout and the occasional moments of brilliance are sprinkled evenly through two hours that seems like much less.
The scene between Mandy Patinkin and Kate Hudson near the end of the film is absolutely fabulous, touching and so intelligent. Kudos to the Braff brothers for writing such an interesting and entertaining piece and to Zach Braff for direction that shows moments of genus.
