Review of Wish I Was Here (2014) by David C — 23 Jan 2015
Not nearly the indie hit his former "Garden State" film turned out to be. Despite being a huge fan of that film, I found this one lacking that magic and chemistry that made it so memorable. The soundtrack is okay, but not great; the acting is solid, but not fantastic.
.. not in the way we saw with Garden State. A large part of the problem is that the story itself almost seems like an alternate version of Zach's previous film, and in that sense, it ends up feeling much like something we've seen before.
