Review of Wish I Was Here (2014) by David G — 31 Jan 2015
Excellent Film, Brilliant Direction, Kickstarter Success. In this theme driven drama Humour, Dreams, Love, Faith and Loss are all key into making this film a must see. Zach manages to balance the many messages within the film keeping the story moving at a nice pace.
Although I enjoyed the brilliant cameos from the usual Zach entourage they did tend to pull my attention out of the film in particular the Zach and Donald (JD & Turk) and Zach and Jim Parsons (Sheldon Big bang theory) scene.
Perhaps if I wasn't a huge scrubs and Big Bang fan this may not have been as much of an issue for me. I particularly enjoyed the first home schooling scene and the hospital scene between Kate and Mandy (Sarah and Gabe).
Overall 8/10 "On the other side of heart break is wisdom".
