Braff's follow-up to Garden State is just that- It's raw, emotional, and heartfelt. As other critics have mentioned, the storyline is a bit all over the board, but in my opinion that's part of the appeal.
Life is not neat, it's not all good, and there isn't always a clear path from point a to point b. Wish I Was Here portrayed this rawness as a beautiful work of art in the same way that Garden State did.
I would gladly kickstart Braff's next project in hopes that he continues down this path.
