Review of Winter's Tale (2014) by Pam V — 15 Feb 2014
Critics of this movie surely don't have a heart or an imagination, for this movie is overflowing with both to such a degree I was amazed! Or perhaps the critics are non-plussed by the concept of miracles actually happening.
The acting was so thoughtful and poignant, the characters unique and beautifully rendered--it was like stepping into another world, not unlike the worlds of C.S Lewis and Phil Pullman, but much more subtle and contemporary.
For me, it was life and mood altering, and I will see it again the day after it opened! I love Jessica Brown Findlay and Colin Farrell in their roles, and Russell Crowe was great as the bad guy, unusual to see him as a less than heroic character.
There were so many beautiful surprises in this movie, and no way to predict the outcome! It is A MUST SEE in my book, for any human being!
