Review of Winter's Tale (2014) by Richard C — 21 Feb 2014
Below average largely time travel based flick that tries its best to excite but just ends up being too soppy and sentimental for its own good. A below average Colin farrell manages to almost turn in a worse performance than he did in the remake (not reboot as thats such a horrid word) of total recall and actually manages to look bored sometimes.
The scenes of animal cruelty are unneccessary and dont add anything to it (in fact they make it harder to watch) but there are some moments of light humour that relieve the tedium but its just such a pity that in such a long film those moments only take up about 10 minutes of it.
