Review of Winter's Tale (2014) by Josh O — 07 Mar 2014

What the hell did I watch...Winter's Tale is very ambitious but in the end it is a incoherent, convoluted mess that is very tedious to watch...It isn't terrible but everything it tries to achieve just falls flat and it is also rather shallow.

There is a good cast here but most of them are wasted except a scenery chewing Russell Crowe. Lovely cinematography and a good score from Hans Zimmer but in the end that isn't enough when it comes to Akiva Goldsman poor direction and mess of a script.

Not terrible but not good and just a slog to get through. It is a very pointless movies...
