The trailer really made it look like it was going to be better. In all though it was awful. The critics were right about this one. To many holes in the plot. The story is just weird and isn't interesting enough.
The whole thing just comes off as goofy and convoluted. Will Smith as the devil was a waste of his talents and a wrong pick for that part. I imagine if someone read the book beforehand the movie would make more sense, but you shouldn't have to read the book to understand the movie.
Which is absolutely the case with this mess.
