Having read the book I understood what was going on. Those who have not read the book will most likely get very confused. The problem withheld movie adaptation is that the book is too long, too detailed, and very hard to explain all that is happening and why in a roughly two hour movie.
Those who truly want to understand must read the book, thus movie does not do it justice unfortunately.
