Review of Winter's Tale (2014) by Everett J — 02 Aug 2014

I don't understand why this movie got such poor reviews. I found it to be a beautifully crafted story and it is now one of my new favorites. Did it take 50 minutes into the movie to figure out what was going on? Yes, but with no expectations I continued to watch and the pay off was tremendous in the end.

I agree that maybe it's not a movie for people who can't sit still and really pay attention to a movie for two hours. I blame smart phone and social media as distractions that have changed many people into paying attention for too long to any one thing.

So I guess maybe that is why it got poor reviews. ??? But for me and my children, this movie touched our artistic souls and we consider ourselves better off for having watched the movie. I think it is one I will watch over and over and not get tired of it.
