There were some things that worked in Winter's Tale: it's beautifully shot, there's a cast of big names, and you kind of *want* to like it... but it feels rushed and disjointed, full of loopholes and overly contrived.
What might have been a magically epic novel is sadly lost, and I just found it too hard to buy. 2.5-3 stars.
