Review of Winter's Bone (2010) by Yash B — 20 Oct 2018
While I do feel "Winter's Bone" to be a heavily overrated movie, I must admit it has an outstanding lead performance from Jennifer Lawrence. Her efforts in portraying her character in this movie are why it is worth checking out.
The movie is pretty uneventful for a good amount of its runtime, but it picks up towards its final moments. I also think the movie has some striking camera work that really absorbs you into this uncompromising world.
If you don't like slower paced dramas at any level, this is a movie you'll want to skip. However, if you like seeing great and realistic acting, it's worth a one time watch.
